Love thyself…

In the famous words of John Lennon: “All You Need is Love.” And from a spiritual perspective, THAT love must originate by loving oneself! At its core, this self-love is not rooted in vanity or ego but in recognizing and embracing one’s inherent divinity and connection to the universe.

The concept of self-love starts with the acknowledgment that our souls are eternal and that each of us carries within us a spark of the divine. To love oneself is to honor and respect this divine essence that dwells within.

When we practice self-love, we open the gateway to profound healing and personal growth. Self-love is a journey of self-discovery, where we peel away the layers of conditioning and self-doubt to uncover our true nature. It is UNTANGLING all that is to get back to what was and in doing so, we align ourselves with the universal flow of love and compassion, allowing it to permeate our lives.

Self-love is not about arrogance or narcissism; but rather about self-acceptance and forgiveness. It’s about acknowledging our imperfections and past mistakes with compassion and recognizing that these experiences happened FOR US to help us evolve into the person we have become. Through self-love, we embrace ALL of our life’s experiences, the light and the dark and all that is in between, in order to find the harmony within.

Self-love is actually the opposite of selfishness. As we learn to love ourselves unconditionally, we become conduits of love, compassion, and kindness in the world. By nurturing our own spiritual well-being, we contribute positively to the collective consciousness and inspire others to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery and self-love, too.

Loving thyself contributes to the great tapestry of love and unity that binds us all.
